Education and Research Support Program

Social Welfare Service (SWS) recognizes that quality education and access to research opportunities are fundamental to the professional and personal development of every individual in Nepal. Through its Education and Research Support Program, SWS works to strengthen the educational ecosystem by supporting students, researchers, and academic institutions with structured programs and practical resources.

The program focuses on three core areas:

Area 1 — Academic Mentorship
Providing structured mentorship and career counseling for students from underserved communities, helping them navigate academic challenges and prepare for professional life with confidence.

Area 2 — Research Facilitation
Supporting undergraduate and graduate students who require institutional linkage, guidance, and resources for academic research projects. SWS connects researchers with relevant organizations, experts, and datasets to enhance the quality and impact of their work.

Area 3 — Educational Outreach
Delivering educational outreach programs to schools and colleges in remote and underserved districts of Nepal-bringing career guidance, study skills workshops, and professional development resources to students who would otherwise have limited access.

Key Activities:
— Academic mentorship and career counseling sessions
— Research facilitation and institutional linkage support
— Educational outreach programs in remote districts
— Study skills and professional development workshops
— Scholarship and funding opportunity awareness campaigns
— Coordination with colleges and universities for student support

This program directly complements SWS's Internship Facilitation Program by ensuring that students are academically prepared and professionally motivated before entering the workforce.
